The cork oak (Quercus Suber L) grows in extensive areas in the Mediterranean. This wonderful tree owes its long lifespan of sometimes 200 years, to its unique ability to renew: the harvested bark gives a versatile fiber for endless purposes, while the tree is now on its next 9 year cycle until the new harvest!
